MEDIDERM®
Medical Laminates
Mylan Technologies Inc. has combined standard component backing materials (
MEDIFILM® or
MEDIFLEX®),
release liners (
MEDIRELEASE®) and adhesives to create a single component
product. This provides you with a multitude of features and benefits to choose
from in the creation of a cost-effective transdermal and wound care product.
Available in roll widths up to 43".
Backing Material
This portion of the MEDIDERM
® laminate can be produced using any MEDIFILM
® or MEDIFLEX
® standard
component. The backing material can be further customized by using other
materials including woven materials, foams and foils.
Adhesive
Our hydrophilic or hydrophobic pressure sensitive adhesive is available in PIB, silicone, or
acrylic based systems. Each one has a variety of blends providing exact
adhesion, tack, release rate and viscosity. All are produced in coat weights of
3 g/m
2 and up.
Release Liner
This aspect of the MEDIDERM
® standard component features all choices available with the MEDIRELEASE
®
line. Choose from the standard substrates: paper, polyester, polyurethane, LDPE
and either of the coatings — silicone or fluorosilicone — which can be applied to one or both sides of the release liner.
The MEDIDERM
® line is truly the most innovative approach to component manufacturing, providing the
time and cost saving benefits of standardized production while creating a vast
number of options usually found in custom manufacturing.
