Medical, Wound Care and Ostomy Films

The MEDIFILM® line of extruded and co-extruded films features four standard film categories, each with distinct characteristics to meet the specific requirements of wound care and ostomy applications. These films are from 0.5 mil to 10 mils thick with widths up to 61 inches. Our innovative co-extrusion operation allows two different resins to be configured in A-B or A-B-A laminates along with a substrate, all in a single pass.

MEDIFILM® 300 - Series Extruded from co-polyester resins providing a wide range of MVTR, 2,400 to 8,500 g/m2/24 hrs.

MEDIFILM® 400 - Series Extruded Polyurethane based films with a range of high to low MVTR and coefficient of friction.

MEDIFILM® 500 - Extruded Ethyl Vinyl Acetate, (EVA) based films used as a rate-controlling membrane.

MEDIFILM® 810 - Extruded polyether block amide creating high MVTR with low coefficient of friction.

These films can be customized with, but not limited to, the following options:

Pigments including flesh tones
Embossed matte or gloss finishes
Anti-static agents
Low coefficient additives
Hypoallergenic adhesives
